Monday Morning Minute with Tim

2026-27 Governor Tim Lee

As we step into another exciting year in Rotary International District 6360, let us focus on unity and purpose in all our projects and interactions; together, we can spark positive change that uplifts our communities and strengthens our connections, while enjoying the fulfilling spirit of service!

August 24, 2026 | District 6360

District 6360 is +3 in membership for the 2026-27 Rotary Year, or since July 1, 2026. It is important for everyone to continue to invite their friends, co-workers, significant others, and family to join our Rotary Family.

An Army Mom wants to help Veterans; she has witnessed first hand some of the challenges Veterans experience returning to civilian life, and is willing to provide Rotary (membership) scholarships for 10 Veterans who need a hand up and to join their local Rotary Club. Please let me know if you are aware of a Veteran who could use the scholarship or if you are interested in providing a scholarship so that additional Veterans can join the Rotary Family.

August 3, 2026 | District 6360

Looking forward to this week and the district Capstone to Launch Your Legacy gathering at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners on Thursday. Also during the week, our Rotary International Director Marty Helman will be visiting clubs and experiencing what it's like to be in southwest Michigan this time of year.

July 20, 2026 | District 6360

So much fun was had by all at RYLA Camp* 2026 (Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp 2026.) RYLA Chair Don Deibler and a dedicated team of volunteers, staff, and Rotarians made for a successful weekend. *Location: Battle Creek Outdoor Education Center on Clear Lake in Dowling, Michigan | July 17-19, 2026

July 13, 2026 | District 6360

Tim spent the weekend with 250 Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) students at the Central States Rotary Youth Exchange Summer Conference at Calvin University. DGE Christopher Lewis, DGN Mike Huie, and PDG Margie Haas all contributed to the successful weekend. Tons of energy and excitement— we are in good hands with these young leaders. Now is the time to talk with High School Students about participating in RYE during the 2026-28 school years.

February 2025 | Magic in Winter

My video message this month includes a few thoughts on our upcoming District Conference scheduled for May 2-3, 2025 at the Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven.  I found a bright January day to put this video together, and as you will see and hear, it was a very windy day.  Some of the noise in the background came from the bubblers in the ice covered water protecting the Friends Good Will ship from being frozen into the harbor.  So, turn up your volume, enjoy the views, and appreciate some of what nature has to offer in January.  -- Mark
